Extended Four-Day Festival Adds New Categories

and Special Screenings For 2007 Summer Line Up

2007 Festival Kicks Off Friday, July 27th
at Rooftop Films

This year’s festival begins Friday July 27th and ends on Monday July 30th with a jam-packed schedule of events.  The official film lineups for each of the four evenings are available on the Animation Block Party website at www.animationblock.com.

Day 1 (Friday, July 27) –
8:00pm ET @ Rooftop Films in Williamsburg, Brooklyn kicks off with live music by Demander.
9:00pm ET - screening of best independent and student work.
Followed by Exclusive after party sponsored by (Dewar’s Scotch Whiskey) from 11pm-1am at Matchless (brklyn)

Day 2 (Saturday, Jul.28) –
8:30pm ET and 10:15pm ET and 12 midnight ET@ Pioneer Theater in NYC, focusing on narrative shorts and cult films.
After-party begins after 10:15 screening and sponsored by The Onion.

Day 3 (Sunday, Jul.29) –
8:00pm ET @ Galapagos Art Space in Williamsburg.  A special global warming presentation from the Lower East Side Ecology Center, showcasing some “green” public service announcement films commissioned by Animation Block Party.
9:00 pm – Screenings Begins of best music videos and experimental works.
After-party featuring New York’s Official Hip-Hop Karaoke, sponsored by Autodesk.

Day 4 (Monday, Jul.30) –
6:50pm ET @ BAM Cinematek in Brooklyn, preceded by a short introductory discussion with participating filmmakers.
9:15pm ET  additional screenings at BAM
After-party begins at 9pm at Mullanes Bar & Grill (brklyn)
