Too many times in life when people realize that their dreams are not going to come true they, much too often, give up on those dreams and instead accept the hand that life deals them. Joe Grushecky is not one of these people. Faced with the fact that his dream of making it big in the unforgiving business of Rock ‘n’ Roll was going to fall just short, Joe Grushecky chose a different path. He kept fighting.

The DVD/CD includes 7 never-before released songs from Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers featuring Bruce Springsteen, plus special bonus features on the DVD including deleted scenes and live performances. 

Joe Grushecky’s debut album, “Love So Tough” was released in 1979 and received continuous accolades by Rolling Stone Magazine and Billboard with his follow-up album, “Have a Good Time But Get Out Alive.”  Joe continued his teaching career while writing and recording, and in 1995 he embarked on his first collaboration with Bruce Springsteen, with “American Babylon” which was produced by Springsteen featuring two co-written songs along with vocal / guitar contributions by Bruce. Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers went on to release 5 more records with tremendous critical acclaim.  Rolling Stone Magazine called the band a “new American classic,” while The Village Voice called them, “the best rock band in the country.”
